Shinhan Securities Vietnam Officially Launches “Shinhan Trading Championship 2026”

1.Program Overview

“Shinhan Trading Championship 2026” is a trading competition organized by Shinhan Securities Vietnam (SSV) from January 5 to May 8, 2026. The program aims to create a dynamic, competitive trading arena while honoring outstanding investors in each division and honoring top performers in Shinhan's Hall of Fame.

2.Event Timeline (Season 1)

• 05/01 – 15/05/2026: Registration period

• 13/02/2026: NAV cut-off date for existing customers (for leaderboard grouping)

• 15/05/2026: Final NAV cut-off date for new customers registered after 13/02/2026

• 23/02 – 05/06/2026: Official competition period (estimated 15 weeks)

• 08/06 – 12/06/2026: Results consolidation and verification phase

• 06/2026: Award ceremony & recognition event in Ho Chi Minh City (tentative)

3. Eligibility

• All individual clients with a securities trading account at SSV (including clients referred by brokers).
• Applicable to both cash accounts (00) and margin accounts (01).
• SSV employees may participate but are not eligible for awards.

4. Competition Divisions

Each registered account will be assigned to a division based on its Net Asset Value (NAV) at the snapshot date. The program includes three divisions:

• Professional Division (Strategic Investors): VND 10 million – < VND 100 million
• Elite Division (Resilient Investors): VND 100 million – < VND 1 billion
• Legend Division (Legendary Investors): ≥ VND 1 billion

5. Prize Structure

Total prize value: VND 2,789,000,000

5.1. New Customer Prizes

Eligible participants: Customers who open a new securities trading account at SSV and generate valid transactions during the promotion period.

Total prize value: VND 1,500,000,000

5.2. Outstanding Investor Prizes

Eligible participants: Customers who meet the minimum NAV requirement of each competition tier in the fastest time.

Total prize value: VND 240,000,000

Conditions:
Investors must meet the minimum NAV requirement and either

(i) at least 50% of NAV is invested in stocks, or

(ii) the total trading value over the most recent 30 days is greater than or equal to the NAV as of the data cut-off date.

5.3. Weekly Prizes

Eligible participants: Top 3 investors with the highest total trading value each week in each competition tier.

Total prize value: VND 168,000,000

Conditions:
Minimum total trading value requirements:

• Strategic Tier: VND 20,000,000

• Resilient Tier: VND 200,000,000

• Legendary Tier: VND 2,000,000,000

5.4. Grand Final Prizes – Legendary Arena

Eligible participants: Top 10 investors with the highest investment performance growth in each tier.

Total prize value: VND 863,000,000

Conditions:
Participants must satisfy all of the following criteria:
(i) Investment performance > 0 and not lower than the VN-Index growth rate during the competition period;
(ii) Total trading value must be at least three (03) times the average NAV;
(iii) Average NAV must not be lower than the minimum NAV requirement of the corresponding competition tier.

6. How to participate

• Existing Clients (Register before Jan 16, 2026)
• Register between Jan 05 and Jan 16, 2026.
• Division assignment based on NAV as of 23:59 on Jan 16, 2026.
• Accounts that do not meet the required NAV will not be assigned and clients may top up NAV and re-register until Apr 17, 2026.
• New Clients (Register after Jan 16, 2026)
• Newly opened accounts may register until Apr 17, 2026.
• Registration is confirmed once the account’s NAV first reaches VND 10,000,000 or more.
• NAV used for division assignment is the end-of-day NAV of the previous trading day (T-1) relative to the successful registration date.

7. Results Determination & Rankings

• General Principle: Final rankings are determined by investment performance, defined as the percentage growth of total profit on the participant’s trading account during the competition period.
• Investment Performance Formula

% Profit Growth =  (1 + r₁) (1 + r₂) × … × (1 + r_n) − 1

• Award Criteria

• Overall Awards: This award is granted based on investment performance (% profit growth). Participants must meet all of the following:
• Investment performance: Higher than 0, and not lower than VN-Index growth during the competition period
• Minimum total trading value: at least 3 times the average NAV;
• Average NAV: not lower than the minimum NAV of the respective division.
• Weekly Awards: This award is granted based on the highest total trading value of the week, with minimum requirements of ≥ VND 20 million for “Strategic Division”, ≥ VND 200 million for Resilient Division, and ≥ VND 2 billion for Legend Division.
• Outstanding New Investor Award: Granted when the participant reaches the minimum NAV of the respective division and satisfies one of the following conditions:
• Meets the NAV requirement, with at least 50% of NAV invested in equities;
• Total trading value within the most recent 30 days (up to the data snapshot date) is equal to or greater than the NAV at the snapshot date.
