Shinhan financial confirms investment in Vietnamese e-commerce firm Tiki

The Korean financial group invested in Tiki to develop the digital financial ecosystem in Vietnam.
Shinhan Financial Group (Korea) said it had reached an agreement to acquire a 10% interest in Vietnam based e commerce company Tiki . Shinhan's two subsidiaries, Shinhan Bank  and Shinhan Card will pick up  7.44% and 2.56% shares in Tiki, respectively.

Combining financial expertise from Shinhan Financial and the pool of data posessed by Tiki, the Korean investor is expected to develop a new converged digital ecosystem in Vietnam. With more than 20 million customers, Tiki is one of the leading e-commerce platforms in Vietnam. Shinhan Financial Group expects this cooperation will create synergy, develop in many fields as well as diversifying customer and responding to the digital environment. Currently, the Group's services include Shinhan Bank (banking services), Shinhan Card (card services), Shinhan Securities (securities services), Shinhan Life (insurance) and Shinhan DS (information security services). news) have all been rolled out in Vietnam maket.
