Vietnam possesses many advantages for developing the logistic industry thanks to its location right next to the East Sea, which is an important bridge in the international maritime route helping to transport goods from Asia to other regions of the world. Vietnam is also one of the most open countries in the world, with the ratio of import-export value/GDP at about 179% in 2022.

• The logistics sector is expected to have great potential for future development thanks to economic cooperation agreements that contribute to promoting import and export. In addition, the state also focuses on developing infrastructure, with a total investment plan of VND 1,874 trillion for the period 2021–2030.
• For the 2023 outlook, the logistics industry will be affected by the downturn in the world economy and factors such as falling sea freight rates and high oil prices. These factors will negatively affect transport companies. However, the logistic industry will soon recover after the world economic recovery combined with China’s open policy after the pandemic.
