Vietnam has a long coastline, a water surface area is 3 times the mainland, a favorable climate, and biodiversity for exploiting and farming fisheries. Because of that, our country ranked 3rd among the world’s fisheries exporters, with an export value of nearly USD 9 billion/per year and a CAGR of 5% (2017-2021). In terms of type, fisheries ranked 7th and accounted for 3% of the export value of Vietnam in 2021.
