In regular trading on Monday, the Dow and S&P 500 rose 0.59% and 0.76%, respectively, notching new record highs. The Nasdaq Composite also jumped 1.12%. Those moves came as the US Treasury said it expected to borrow less than previously anticipated in the first quarter. Investors now look ahead to big tech earnings and the Fed decision this week.

VNINDEX closed at 1,175.69 (0.02 points, 0%) with relatively low liquidity. The market had 187 stocks gaining and 283 stocks losing. The stocks that contributed the most to the market's increase were GVR, GAS, and CTG. On the other hand, the stocks that contributed to the market's decline were VCB, HPG, and BID. The industry group that increased the most was the chemical group. Foreign investors net sold slightly.
