In regular trading on Wednesday, the Dow rose 0.3% and the Nasdaq Composite edged up 0.16%. The S&P 500 also gained 0.14%, inching closer to record levels. Expectations that the Federal Reserve will cut interest rates next year continued to drive equities higher

VNINDEX closes at 1,121.9 (-0.26 points, -0.02%) with low liquidity. The market had 219 green and 250 red stocks. The groups of stocks that contributed the most to the market's rise were MSN, TPB, and BCM. On the other hand, the groups of stocks that contributed to the market's decline were LGC, VNM, and SAB. The groups of industries that rose and fell had strong divergence. Foreign investors turned to net buying for the first time in over a month after selling net for over a month.
