In regular trading on Monday, the Dow rose 0.28%, the S&P 500 gained 0.15% and the Nasdaq Composite climbed 0.21%, with all three benchmarks booking solid gains for July. More than half of S&P 500 companies have already reported earnings, with 80% beating estimates, according to FactSet.

The VNINDEX closed at 1,222.9, rising by 15 points (+1.26%), with a significant increase in trading volume, reaching 1,122 billion in matched orders. The market's upward momentum was even stronger than the previous Friday's session, as it opened with a gap up and surged, driven mainly by the real estate group, particularly stocks of Vingroup (VHM, VIC).
