Global stocks fell sharply. Policymakers from the US to Europe reinforced the narrative that rates would have to go much higher to prevent inflation from becoming entrenched, ending with any hope for an imminent pivot. 

Domestic stocks continued to be in green but selling prevailed again. Deputy Governor Dao Minh Tu said that the State Bank has directed banks to reduce interest rates.
