Global stocks plummeted. Dow Jones tumbled below the key 30,000 mark to close at levels not seen in almost two years. The dollar index (DXY) skyrocketed above the 113 level, a 20-year high.

Domestic stocks retest the psychological threshold of 1,200 points. Vietnam and Thailand, the world's second and third largest rice exporters, will hold meetings in October to negotiate a proposal to raise rice export prices.
