Last week, the Vietnamese stock market was in turmoil. It continuously received much terrible news related to the arrest of the General Director of Tri Viet Securities and Chairman of Louis Holdings on charges of manipulating the stock market. As a result, the market witnessed 4 consecutive losing sessions, and each session decreased by at least 20 points. At the end of the week, the VN Index dropped deeply by 79.33 points, equivalent to 5.44%, and stopped at 1379.23 points. Meanwhile, HNX Index continued to decrease by 57.59 points to close at 359.12 points. The UPCOM index lost 8.21 points to 104.15 points
