Vietnam stock market witnessed a favorable trading week after Tet with 4 out of 5 gaining sessions. However, the upward momentum slowed down in the later sessions of the week. Notably, news of a strong recovery in steel prices in the past week helped steel’s price raise steadily. Meanwhile, the real estate sector, especially VIC, was the factor holding back the market's gain. Closing the week, VN-Index increased impressively by 22.75 points, equivalent to 1.54%, and closed at 1501.71. HNX Index increased strongly by 10.16 points to 426.89, equivalent to an increase of 2.44%, UPCOM Index was also bullish and increased by 2.6%.
