[Morning call] - Foreign investors continued light net buying

Summary

The Dow Jones and S&P 500 continue to hit new highs. In Tuesday's trading session, the Dow and S&P 500 both rose to record levels, gaining 0.28% and 0.57%, respectively. Investors also reacted to the minutes from the FOMC's most recent meeting, which emphasized the central bank’s cautious stance on rate cuts, citing uncertainties in the economic outlook and persistent inflation concerns.

Foreign investors continued light net buying. The VN-Index closed at 1,242.13 (+7.4 points, +0.6%) with slightly improved liquidity. The market saw 290 gainers and 101 decliners. Stocks contributing to the market's rise included VCB and BID, while VHM and HVN weighed on the index. Most sectors maintained their upward momentum. Additionally, foreign investors continued their light net buying for the second consecutive session, with a net value of approximately VND 228 billion. Investors should refrain from initiating new positions in highly market-sensitive stocks and prioritize observation
