On June 29, 2024, the National Assembly officially allowed the early implementation of the Land Law, Housing Law, and Real Estate Business Law from August 1, 2024 (5 months earlier than the original effective date). In general, we expect the early and simultaneous implementation of the Real Estate Laws to help (1) remove overlaps between previous legal documents on projects, (2) create transparency and clarity for localities to understand and enforce the law, (3) support a positive mentality for both officials involved in appraisal work, investors and homebuyers, helping to unblock and promote supply for the real estate market from the end of 2024.
