In regular trading on Monday, the Dow fell 0.25%, the S&P 500 lost 0.12% and the Nasdaq Composite dropped 0.41%. Investors now look ahead to earnings reports from major retailers on Tuesday, as well as more US economic data.

VNINDEX closed 1,261.41 (3.13 points, +0.25%) with liquidity maintained at a level higher than the 20 session average. The market has 276 green tickers and 190 red tickers. Stock groups contributing to the market's increase include GVR, CTG and HVN. On the contrary, the group of stocks contributing to the market's decline were VCB, DGC and TPB. Foreign investors maintained net buying with a total value of VND 101 billion.
