In regular trading on Monday, the Dow fell 0.16%, the S&P 500 dropped 0.38% and the Nasdaq Composite lost 0.13%. This week, investors are focused on PCE inflation data and Federal Reserve speeches. Both PCE and core inflation are expected to show a slight monthly uptick, with the annual rate projected to slow. Additionally, the second estimate for Q4 GDP growth will be released.

VNINDEX closed at 1,224.31 (+12.17 points, +1.0%) with liquidity maintained at a level higher than the average of 20 sessions. The market had 270 green stocks and 214 red stocks. The stocks that contributed to the market's uptrend were BID, FPT, and GVR. On the contrary, the stocks that contributed to the market's downtrend were VIC and VPB. Most sectors were up. Foreign investors net sold slightly on today's session.
