In regular trading on Monday, the S&P 500 and Nasdaq Composite rose 0.45% and 0.62%, respectively, while the Dow finished flat. Key economic data, including the PCE inflation, will be closely watched for insights into price pressures.

VNINDEX closed at 1,090.8 (-10.4 points, -0.95%) with low liquidity. The market had 112 green codes and 415 red codes. The groups of shares that contributed the most to the market's decline were VCB, CTG, FPT, the codes that contributed to the increase were VJC STG. Most industry groups declined, with the telecom, technology, and retail sectors being the hardest hit. Foreign investors continued to sell net relatively significantly. Retail investors bought net lightly.
