In regular trading on Tuesday, the Dow and S&P 500 gained 0.17% and 0.28%, respectively, for their seventh straight positive session. The Nasdaq Composite also jumped 0.9% to post its eighth consecutive day of gains. Those moves came as a strong earnings season and hopes for interest rate cuts boosted investor confidence. 

VNINDEX closed at 1,080 (-9.37 points, -0.86%) with a slight decrease in liquidity. The market corrected again after overcoming the resistance area of 1,080. Foreign investors were net sellers of VND 262 billion, focusing on the stock codes MWG, VRE, and FUESSVFL.
