In regular trading on Tuesday, the Dow rose 0.4%, the S&P 500 rose 0.52% and the Nasdaq Composite rose 0.58%. The momentum came as dovish comments from Federal Reserve officials reinforced bets that the central bank is done raising interest rates. Additionally, investors await the producer price index report later today and the consumer price index report on Thursday.

VNINDEX closed 1,143 (6 points, +0.56%) with liquidity at the same level as the previous session. The market recorded an increase with 345 increasing codes and 140 decreasing codes. Foreigners and self-trading are both net sellers. The increase was led by VCB, VHM and HPG, on the contrary, GVR VIC decreased. Industry groups with strong increases include: telecommunications, natural resources and banking.
