Morning call - Liquidity disappears

In regular trading on Monday, the Dow fell 0.22%, while the S&P 500 inched up 0.01% and the Nasdaq Composite gained 0.67%. Those moves came as US lawmakers arrived at a temporary agreement over the weekend that would keep the government funded for 45 more days. Investors also welcomed better-than-expected ISM Manufacturing PMI data which showed the contraction in the manufacturing sector slowed sharply and price pressures eased

VNINDEX closed 1,155.25 (1.1 points, 0.1%) with low liquidity. The market has 280 green codes and 201 red codes. The market leading group is GVR VNM and VRE, on the other side is VCB GAS. Groups with strong increases include Chemicals, Food & Beverages. Foreign investors were light net buyers, and proprietary traders were light net sellers.
